Energy Minister Of Greece To Visit Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Minister of the
Environment and energy Kostas Skrekas will visit Baku in the coming
days as part of strengthening contacts and ensuring the country's
energy security, Trend reports citing Greek media.
Minister Skrekas will hold meetings with Azerbaijani Energy
Minister Parviz Shahbazov, with whom he met last July in
Alexandroupolis during the opening of the Greece-Bulgaria
interconnector (IGB), as well as with representatives of the State
Oil and gas Company SOCAR.
Greece receives Azerbaijani gas in the amount of 1 billion cubic
meters per year through the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which is
the European part of the Southern Gas Corridor.
Azerbaijan's gas exports to Europe began on December 31, 2020
with the commissioning of the Southern Gas Corridor comprising of
the South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion, the Trans Anatolian Natural
Gas Pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
