Zakat Fund Provides Over Qr14m Aid In August

Doha: The Department of Zakat Fund at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs provided aid worth QR 14.441 million during August 2022.

Around 570 families eligible for assistance have benefited from these aids within Qatar.

These aids include periodic and lump-sum aid, all of which are paid by the Department of Zakat Fund for eligible registered families according to Shariah standards and regulations, and the approved mechanisms.

These amounts were distributed between periodic assistance, which is provided on monthly basis, with the amount of QR8.238m, and the lump-sum aid, which is a one-time aid as needed, with the amount of QR6.202m.

Zakat Fund provides, through its website, the service of applying for assistance for those who have a file with the fund or those who are applying for the first time. The service also includes the renewal of assistance for those whose assistance is nearing completion.
