Teknofest, significant technology event in Turkey draws 900K people
(MENAFN) In the Black Sea city of Samsun, the fifth iteration of Teknofest, Turkey's largest technology and aviation exhibition, has drawn 900,000 guests.
Zulkif Dagli, the governor of the Samsun province, reported that guests from all around the nation, as well as from Europe and many friendly nations, attended the six-day festival, which began last Tuesday.
The Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and Turkey's Industry and Technology Ministry organized the six-day event at the Samsun Carsamba Airport, which featured events including air exhibitions with jets, drones, and helicopters as well as seminars, summits, and contests.
At the 2022 festival, there were more than 40 distinct technical contests, including ones in the areas of semiconductors, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), satellites, rockets, robots, and artificial intelligence.
This year, 600,000 individuals submitted applications for the contests. The competition gave participants access to equipment worth millions of Turkish Liras, and winners received more than 7 million Turkish Liras (USD384,085).
