Emirati academic claims UAE envoy came back to Iran
(MENAFN) An influential Emirati academic has assured that the envoy of the United Arab Emirates has made his come back to Iran.
The academic, Abdulkhaleq Abdullah, who is supposed to have been a consultant to UAE Leader Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed, published on Twitter that UAE Envoy Saif al-Zaabi has come back to Iran.
Abdullah stated that “His Excellency Saif al-Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador, has returned to Tehran to carry out his work and open a new page in the relations between the UAE and Iran, his Excellency goes to a difficult capital on an even more difficult diplomatic mission.”
Abdullah also urged Iran to prepare a respectable welcome to the UAE envoy and facilitate his assignment.
Abdullah’s comments came after a phone meeting among the foreign ministers of Iran and the UAE.
The Iranian foreign ministry stated that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and his Emirati equivalent Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan have in a telephone discussion to talk about the most vital concerns of joint interest and also the most recent progresses in the restrictions removal discussions.
