Municipality Issues Closure Notice To Restaurant For Violations

Doha: Al Rayyan Municipality ordered the closure of Chennai Thalappakatti restaurant in the Al-Rayyan area, zone 53 for 7 days for selling food that is not fit for consumption, starting from August 14, 2022.

The Ministry of Municipality took the administrative decision to close the restaurants for violating Law No 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control. 

When the closure notice is issued, it is not permissible to open the closed shop or to carry out any activity or maintenance, and a violation will entail criminal liability, warned the ministry.
