National Resistance Front Principles Call For 'Decentralized' System And Fight Against 'Tyranny'

In a statement, the Ahmad Massoud-led National Resistance Front (NRF) outlined the“basic principles” of the resistance, emphasizing resistance against“tyranny” and creating a“decentralized” political system through democratic elections.

The National Resistance Front (NRF) on Sunday announced the resistance's principles in a virtual meeting with members of the Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan, whose members are political figures from the country's previous collapsed government.

In the NRF's charter, they brought attention to acquiring and transferring power through an elected government and highlighted the importance of engaging in“national resistance” against the Taliban if they refuse to build an all-encompassing government.

The NRF charter embraces both the alternatives of dialogue and armed resistance with the goals of a legitimate government, regaining sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing peace.

While previously claiming he is not a politician and is not a“candidate for elections,” this is what the Taliban supreme leader is now maintaining.

In a different conversation with the governors, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada had stated that only Sharia law should be applied and that man-made laws could not be applied.

The Supreme Council for National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan was founded in Turkey months ago by several prominent Afghan political leaders who had fled to other countries because of the Taliban's rule in Afghanistan.

Several members of supreme council actively participated in the NRF virtual meeting, including Salahuddin Rabbani, Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, Mohammad Mohaqeq, Yunus Qanoni, Atta Mohammad Noor, Ismail Khan, and many more.
