4.8 Magnitude Earthquake Hit Greek Island Of Samos
Athens: An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck Sunday the island of Samos, eastern Greece.
The quake occurred at a depth of 12 km in the strait between Samos and the Turkish Aegean coast near Kusadasi, as reported by the Geodynamic Institute in Athens.
There were no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the quake.
