Turkish stock market ends Friday on high notes


(MENAFN) Bursa Istanbul, Turkey's benchmark stock index, increased by 0.98 percent on Friday to end at a brand-new record high of 2,750.49 points. Additionally, the BIST 100 index reached an intraday high of 2,762.95 points.

The BIST 100 index of Bursa Istanbul soared by 26.82 points from Thursday's finish of 2,723.67 points to open the day at 2,734.44 points. On the other hand, The BIST 100 index increased by more than 6.10 percent on a weekly basis the current week.

The index's low point for the day was 2,707.18, and its high point was 2,762.95. By market closure, the BIST 100 had a market value of around 2.2 trillion Turkish liras (USD122.3 billion), with a daily exchanging volume of 50 billion liras (USD2.8 billion).

According to information from the Precious Metals and Diamond Markets at Bursa Istanbul, one ounce of gold traded for USD1,779.50 at market closing. At 6.30 p.m. regional time, the rate of Brent crude oil was approximately USD95.8 per barrel (1630GMT)
