A man opened fire inside the Mount Lavinia court today and later fled the area.
The Police said that the man had opened fire targeting a suspect who was in the witness stand.
Lawyers in court said that the case was over a breach of trust involving a Rs. 40,000 transaction.
The Police said that no one was injured in the shooting incident.
