RAMALLAH: The Palestinian Prime Minister HE Mohammad Shtayyeh has called the US congress today, August 2, to recognize the state of Palestine since this solution has been facing systematic destruction due to the Israeli measures and practices, reiterating his request to further ramp up pressure on Israel to uphold the signed agreements, in addition to halting the entire Israeli unilateral action and reopening the American Consulate in Jerusalem.

The Palestinian PM made these statements during his reception of the US congress delegation in Ramallah, where the US delegation was briefed on the latest political developments, particularly the policy of money fraud practiced by Israel against the Palestinian funds, in addition to the escalation of violations of Israeli occupation.

Shtayyeh stressed that Israel keeps escalating its action for the sake of the settlement expansion which would indubitably destroy any potential opportunity for the establishment of the Palestinian state on the borders of 1967.
