The School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) recently concluded an orientation day to welcome the third cohort of students of the Dual Executive Master in Business Administration and Public Administration for the academic year 2022-2023.
This executive programme is the first and only one of its kind in the Middle East, offering two internationally accredited master's degrees and comes in partnership with the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, the first school in Germany and the ninth in the world, and the recipient of the most prominent international academic accreditations in the field of business administration.
At the beginning of the meeting, DI president Dr Abdel Wahab al-Affandi, started the day's sessions, welcoming the attendees and congratulating the students for their acceptance into the programme. He pointed out the Arab region's need to develop the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of public administration and business administration, which presents a challenge to the executive programmes in graduating cadres and leaders who are competent and able to manage and lead the region's institutions optimally.
Eman al-Sulaiti, executive director of the Administrative and Financial Division at the Institute, emphasised the role that executive programmes play. She added that the dual executive programme seeks to equip the students with the necessary cognitive and theoretical tools they need to succeed. Dr Hamed Ali, dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Public Policy said:“When talking about business administration, eyes are directed to Germany, when talking about quality and institutional effectiveness, Germany is mentioned, as well as when talking about economy, Germany comes at the forefront of world's countries. This is why our German partner was chosen to offer this distinguished programme.” Dr Hamed emphasised the quality of the dual executive programme and its commitment to the highest international academic standards.
