Iran’s shipment to Azerbaijan surges 87pct in Q1


(MENAFN) The spokesman of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) declared that The worth of Iran’s shipment to Azerbaijan raised 87 percent in the first 3 months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21), against the same period of the last year.

Ruhollah Latifi stated that Iran shipped commodities valued at USD161 million to Azerbaijan in the stated quarter.

At the end of April, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted the necessity for the growth of financial ties with Iran.

Jabbarov made the comments in a conference with visiting Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Affairs Mehdi Safari in Baku.

In the conference, the representatives explored methods of indorsing exchange ties, mainly by defining and implementing combined ventures.

Throughout his trip to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Safari also held a meeting with Shahin Mustafayev, deputy premier and chairman of the two nations’ combined financial committee, the official also hosted discussions with his Azeri equivalent Khalaf Aly oghlu Khalafov.
