Mane And De Ligt Scores As Bayern Trashed D.C. United In Pre-Season Game
Bayern scored three goals in each half to cruise to a 6-2 win in their first preseason fixture of the year.
As expected, Bayern Munich defeated D.C. United fairly easily.
In each half, Bayern scored two goals fairly early and then one more late — with goals coming from Sadio Mané, Marcel Sabitzer, and Serge Gnabry in the first half, followed by goals from Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkee, and Thomas Müller in the second half.
Down 5-0 in the second half, D.C. was finally able to score two goals, the first in the 54th and and the second in the 83rd.
Sadio Mane scored on his Bayern debut while new boy Matthijs De Ligt also scored for the Bavarians. Marcel Sabitzer, Serge Gnabry, Zirkzee and Thomas Muller rounded of the scoring as Wayne Rooney's DC United were thumped for six goals.
The former Man United man managed to get two goals from his team during the Pre-Season Friendly. Julian Nagelsmann's claimed victory in their first Pre-Season game.
Just before the end of the first half, it was Gnabry himself who would get on the scoresheet, firing the ball to the left of Kempin to make it three.
Matthijs de Ligt would step onto the pitch for his Bayern Munich debut in the second half and wasted no time impressing the Bayern fans, smashing home a corner in the 47th minute.
