Dubai Police Receives Delegation From Uzbek Government Leadership Programme

DUBAI, 6th July, 2022 (WAM) -- The Dubai Police General Command has recently received a delegation from the Uzbek Government Leadership programme to learn more about the Force's best practices, latest technologies and innovative programmes.

The visit comes as part of the joint programme launched by the Governments of the UAE and the Republic of Uzbekistan to prepare a generation of government leaders based on the working model of the UAE government.

The delegation was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Al Suwaidi, a representative from the Happiness and Positivity Council, Salama Al Falasi, Chairman of the Young Leaders Council at Dubai Police, and other members and officers from different departments and police stations.

The Uzbek delegation was briefed on the Command and Control Centre's latest services and initiatives that enhance security and safety in the emirate.

They also learned about the centre's equipment and latest additions, such as the 3D map covering Dubai and the patrol dispatching system, ensuring swift and efficient response to reports and emergency calls.

They also toured Dubai Police's Security Innovation Laboratory and reviewed modern technology's contents and the latest smart services and AI-based security innovations. In addition to the latest police patrols equipped with various security and surveillance technologies directly related to the command and control centre at the General HQ.

They were familiarised with the Police's K9 team and learned about the Force's methods to make use of trained canines to ensure safety and security and carry out missions including guarding, recovering hidden narcotics and explosives, uncovering dead bodies, searching for missing persons, and tracking possessions and flaming materials.

They listened to a presentation on Dubai Police's initiatives, including the 'Oyoon' project, Project Management System, Young Leaders Council and the Happiness and Positivity Council.

The delegation also visited the Dubai Smart Police Station SPS - Muraqqabat was introduced to the various services provided by the Station to the customers in 7 languages around the clock, including 27 key services, such as reporting crimes and traffic incidents, as well as a further 33 community-based services, which range from obtaining a good-conduct certificate to social support for victims of family violence.

The new programme seeks to enable the participants to identify the best skills in specialised fields through virtual workshops and dialogue sessions, focusing on virtual education, meeting subject-matter experts, and identifying practical leadership experiences in various agencies, in addition to organizing knowledge visits to a number of government departments, and learning about the most prominent experiences of the countries participating in Expo 2020 Dubai.

The Uzbek Government Leadership programme covers several areas, including smart applications; government services; government accelerators; capacity-building; strategy; national plan; government performance; government quality; business incubators; competitiveness & statistics; tourism; economy; industry; doing business; smart & safe city; programming; civil service; insurance; future foresight; airport & free zones management; education, tax management, media & public relations; financial sector; customs; and young leaders.
