Moscow: West accountable for citizen demises in Donbass, Ukraine
(MENAFN) The West have to be conscious of its accountability for the demises of residents in Donbass and Ukraine, as declared by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday.
In a press meeting in Vietnam, Lavrov was asked to remark on Kiev’s claims that Russian troops are shooting their own cities to disturb the deliveries of Western arms to Ukraine.
“Well, in short, they lie,” the foreign minister added.
He went on that the Russian Defense Ministry presents the real facts every day, and that the West should recognize its own accountability, “no matter what [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky and his team are saying.”
Since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Moscow has cautioned the US and its allies against “pumping up” Ukraine with arms, stating it will only lengthen the war and cause serious long-term issues in the future.
Lavrov noted the West “must be aware of its responsibility” for the demises of citizens, as Kiev uses the arms delivered from out of the country as “a means of intimidation. This is state terror.”
