Kuwait Top Medal Table At Turkiye-Hosted Shooting Event
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's shooting team is atop the medal table at an international shooting competition in Turkiye, having bagged five medals so far, including three golds.
Kuwait's Mansour Al-Rashidi bested the UAE's Saif bibn Fatis to power his way to a gold medal in the men's skeet contest, while his compatriot Iman Al-Shamaa was victorious in the women's competition, head coach Duaij Al-Otaibi told KUNA.
The positive results continue a run of victories attained by the national team, added the official, attributing the success to the overwhelming support the athletes have received at home.
The competition features a slew of shooters from around the world in a tightly-contested affair, making the Kuwaitis' win all the more significant, he added. (end)
