Kuwait Health Ministry Provides Services To 168 Bedridden Cases


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 11 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday dealing with 168 cases through bedridden services for the elderly and persons with disabilities, according to the updated protocols in the various governorates of the country since launch of the special medical program less than a month ago.
Dr. Dina Al-Dhubaib, director of the Central Department of Primary Health Care, said in a press statement Saturday that the aided patients included 77 cases in the Capital Governorate, 21 in Farwaniya Governorate, 25 in Hawalli Governorate, 31 in the Ahmadi Governorate and 14 in Jahra Governorate.
Al-Dhubaib said home visits included follow-up on condition of the elderly and people with disabilities with chronic conditions through multidisciplinary medical teams consisting of the family doctor, dentist, physiotherapist, pharmacist, nurse, laboratory technician and nutritionist.
She reiterated that the service request submission is via the ministryآ's website from Sunday to Thursday (8 a.m.-7 p.m.), except for Thursday (8 a.m.-1 p.m.), with the medical reports of the references attached. It is also possible to apply and request the service through the health center according to the area of residence. (end)
