Russia-China commerce is expected to reach $200 billion this year

(MENAFN) As per Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov, as stated by TASS, trade exchange between Russia and China is likely to surpass USD200 billion by the end of 2022.

Morgulov stated on Wednesday at the 7th international conference ‘Russia and China: Cooperation in a New Era’, “we, quite obviously, will be able to achieve a trade turnover of $200 billion earlier then it had been set by our leaders. We can achieve this goal much earlier, it is possible by the end of this year.”

The official stressed the inviolability of ties between Moscow and Beijing, as well as the failure of recent Western efforts to push them apart.

The two countries have been strengthening relations for several years, most recently proclaiming a "no-limits" cooperation in February. Beijing has declined to denounce Russia's military intervention in Ukraine and has frequently condemned the unprecedented Western sanctions levied against Moscow as a result of it.
