Alexandr Wang left MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) at the age of 19 to co-found Scale AI, a software firm. Now, he is assisting more than 300 companies, as well as the United States Air Force and Army, in realizing the full potential of their data by providing high-quality training data for AI applications.

Alexandr Wang was a math whiz as a kid, and he enjoyed competing in national math and coding competitions. He is the world's youngest self-made billionaire, at the age of 25, and his firm utilizes artificial intelligence to calculate the amount of damage Russian bombs caused in Ukraine.

According to Forbes, Wang's six-year-old San Francisco–based company, Scale AI , has already received three contracts totaling $110 million to assist the US Air Force and Army in the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Scale AI's technology examines satellite photos considerably faster than human analysts, and it's not just for the military. According to Forbes, Scale is used by over 300 organizations, including Flexport and General Motors. It is to assist recover information from raw data such as self-driving car footage or millions of papers.

“Every industry is sitting on huge amounts of data,” Alexandr Wang told Forbes. “Our goal is to help them unlock the potential of the data and supercharge their businesses with AI.”

As per the Forbes story, he founded the company when he was 19 years old. It is now valued at $7.3 billion after a $325 million fundraising round last year. Wang owns a 15% share of the company. It is worth an estimated $1 billion. Thus, making him the world's youngest self-made millionaire.

Wang's parents were physicists who worked on US military weapons projects. He began coding in high school at Quora, where he met Lucy Guo and eventually co-founded Scale AI with her.

Wang told Forbes,“I told my parents it was just going to be a thing I did for the summer. Obviously, I never went back to school.”

Wang is the world's youngest self-made millionaire, with a 15% share believed to be worth $1 billion. Pedro Franceschi, the 25-year-old Brazilian cofounder of credit card company Brex, is the next-youngest billionaire.
