Saudi National Teams Continue Winning Gold Medals In Kuwait GCC Games

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Kuwait, May 27, 2022, SPA -- The Saudi teams continued to win gold medals yesterday, Thursday in the 3rd GCC Games hosted by the State of Kuwait until the end of May, 2022.
In Tennis, Ammar Al-Haqbani and Saud Al-Haqbani won the gold in the doubles competition, after their victory against the Qatari team in two sets without charge (7-5/6-4), in the meeting that brought them together at Jaber Al-Abdullah International tennis Complex, in the presence of Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, who was crowned the champions after the end of the competitions.
Their colleagues, Abdullah Al-Faraj and Omar Ahmed won the bronze medal after defeating the Kuwaiti duo Ali Al-Shatti and Abdul Hamid Mubarak in two free sets (6-3/6-4).
In tennis singles, Saud Al-Haqbani won the bronze in the competition by defeating Qatari Rashid Nawaf in two clean sets (6-4/6-1).
In the electronic competitions, the Saudi team of electronic games concluded its participation in the tournament by grabbing the gold for the game LEAGUE of LEGENDS by Nawaf Al-Khuwaiter, Ajwad Wazzan, Maan Arshad, Abdulaziz Al-Mubarak, Nawaf Al-Salem and Mishaal Al-Barrak in the competition that took place yesterday.
Table tennis duo Abdulaziz Bushalibi and Ali Al-Khadrawi won the silver medal in the doubles competition, after losing the final match to Kuwaitis Marzouq Al-Rashidi and Ibrahim Al-Hassan 3-2.
In the table singles competition, Abdulaziz Bushlibi won the silver medal after losing to Kuwait's Ibrahim Al-Hassan 4-1, and his teammate Ali Al-Khadrawi won the bronze medal by defeating his teammate Khaled Al-Sharif 4-0.
The ice hockey team of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the silver in the competition after beating Kuwait 7-5, in the meeting that brought them together against the Kuwait Winter Games Club.
In the handball competitions, the Saudi team tied with its Kuwaiti counterpart in its second match in the games, with a score of (26-26), while the Saudi women's padel team lost 3-0 to its Bahraini counterpart, the same result that the men's national team lost against Qatar.
