India’s leading Music Composer, Singer and Mentor - Sheykhar Ravjiani Visits Global Indian International School in Dubai

(MENAFN- Absolute Communication Group ) Famed Indian singer, music composer and Mentor, Sheykhar Ravjiani recently visited the Global Indian International School’s (GIIS) Dubai campus. Sheykhar is an award-winning Indian music composer, singer, mentor and a part of the song-writing duo Vishal-Shekhar hailing from Mumbai. Known predominantly for his work in Indian cinema, Sheykhar, as part of the Leadership Lecture Series initiative by GIIS, interacted with the young minds at the school across all ages who were delighted to meet him. This was followed by a Masterclass, an interactive session with select students where they showcased their talent and were mentored in person by Sheykhar.
Sheykhar has won many Indian and International awards for his music compositions and being an icon in the music industry, he was welcomed with an earnest performance by the students based on the duo’s famous songs.
Sheykhar Ravjiani has been associated with GIIS for many years, since the GIIS – Sheykhar Ravjiani School of Music began in 2020. This marks a first of its kind collaboration between a global education institution and an Indian musician to launch a focused program to nurture and mentor upcoming talent in the field of music using state-of-the-art infrastructure and futuristic technology. Students across GIIS’ 26 campuses world over have access to this school of music. In its second successful year, we have over 30 students who are currently receiving mentorship, with more being enrolled in the coming term. It's an excellent expansion in the innovative education offered by GIIS. The two parties have joined forces through this initiative to offer mentorship to talented students from a pool of 15,000 using the school’s cutting-edge infrastructure and futuristic technology.
GIIS has long been a supporter of education with real world examples. By providing students with the appropriate exposure adds value to their learning. Their 9 GEMS technology is a holistic approach to learning that combines in-class and out-of-class experiences. Sheykhar Ravjiani's visit is a continuous effort to provide genuine instances of leadership so that the students may absorb the values they represent. It's not just Sheykhar’s talent that students can learn from; it's also his commitment, imagination and bravery in attempting new things in the field of music.  
Sheykhar Ravjiani said, “I was thrilled to be a part of this event. The students were so engaged and ardent to be taught the different techniques. It was admirable to see their creative minds at work. I'm sure they'll go a long way in their musical careers. Music is an important part of education and I believe it helps develop a creative mindset. It allows students to tap into their creativity and to express themselves in new and unique ways. I am glad that GIIS is empowering its students by giving them exceptional exposure to this valuable art. Interacting with the students here was a lovely experience and I hope all schools would inculcate innovative subjects like music in their academic curriculum.”
