Abu Dhabi venture fund receives USD2.5B from Alpha Dhabi


(MENAFN) Alpha Dhabi Holding, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi's International Holding Company, has committed Dh9.2 billion (USD2.5 billion) to a venture fund focused on growth-stage corporations throughout the world.

Chimera Capital and Alpha Wave's Alpha Wave Ventures II is going to receive a capital contribution of Dh2.6 billion (USD258 billion) as well as an undrawn capital commitment of Dh6.6 billion (USD1,79 billion), which is going to be drawn down during the fund's asset duration. The action was announced in a declaration to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, where Alpha Dhabi's stocks are traded.

The fund, which was established earlier the current year, has already begun to invest.
