Kerala Startup Mission to hold Public Procurement Summit 2022 on April 26
Thiruvananthapuram, April 7 (KNN) The Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) will host the 'Public Procurement Summit 2022' on April 26, 2022 for startups to interact with officials of public-sector undertakings (PSUs) and understand their requirements better.
To push the process or product innovation, KSUM will facilitate setting up of Startup Innovation Zones in the government departments.
Highlighting the significance of the summit, John M. Thomas, CEO, KSUM, innovative solutions from start-ups would be introduced at the summit that could be implemented in the government departments.
“The event will create a platform for deeper engagement between start-ups and departments. Start-ups can showcase their innovative products and services that are useful for the departments,” he added.
He said the B2G event will help startups build a rapport with officials and representatives of the State government.
The event will take place at Hotel Mascot, Thiruvananthapuram with an aim to bridge the gap between the State's vibrant start-up ecosystem and government departments and agencies.
Thomas said that several Policy-level interventions and schemes will be announced and proposed at the summit.
“The Kerala government has the 'Government as a Marketplace' scheme, which enables start-ups to sell their products to government departments. Through the summit, start-ups can also learn about the best start-up procurement practices in India adopted by various State governments and PSUs,” he added. (KNN Bureau)
