Turkish FM: communication channels with Greece more approachable these days


(MENAFN) According to the Turkish foreign minister statement on late Sunday, the communications channels with Greece are more approachable today than any other day as Turkey fulfills its duties in this matter and predicts the same from the Athens government.

Cavusoglu stated, "we can say that the channels of dialogue with Greece are more open today than before,” adding that Turkey is on the side of a genuine discourse to resolve issues.

He highlighted, mentioning that the Turkish capital is working to advance the optimistic scheme in economic and commercial ties even further: “The positive agenda focused on cooperation in the economy began to show its positive effects on bilateral trade in 2021 and increased by 70 percent compared to 2020 to reach USD5.2 billion.”

He added, “we hope that this positive agenda will create an environment in which we can sincerely discuss our bilateral issues with Greece.”
