Greek PM, Turkish leader to gather in Istanbul on Sun.
(MENAFN) On the words of the Greek administration spokesperson, Turkish Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Greek Premier Kyriakos Mitsotakis are going to gather in Istanbul on Sunday.
Ioannis Oikonomou stated at a weekly press meeting, Mitsotakis is going to join a religious ceremony at the Istanbul's Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarchate.
Oikonomou added that Greece and Turkey, regardless of differences between them, fight many mutual issues, and stressed the challenges holding back from the current conflict amid Russian and Ukraine.
He went on “These challenges need to be addressed with in a logic of solving problems and not of adding new ones."
According to the spokesperson, Mitsotakis is heading to Turkey with a “positive mood.”
