Coinbase refuses to prohibit all crypto transfers in Russia
(MENAFN) According to Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, which is a platform for trading digital assets, the corporation would not prohibit all digital currency transfers in Russia because people impacted by the Ukraine-Russia military confrontation are progressively resorting to these currencies to maintain their money attainable.
On Friday, Mr. Armstrong stated through a tweet that, “we are not pre-emptively banning all Russians from using Coinbase. We believe everyone deserves access to basic financial services unless the law says otherwise.” Further adding that, “some ordinary Russians are using crypto as a lifeline now that their currency has collapsed.”
Ukraine has asked cryptocurrency trading such as Coinbase as well as Binance to put a full restriction on Russian customers after receiving USD33.8 million in digital currency contributions since the beginning of Russia's military incursion.
