Dubai Aerospace Enterprise sees 2022 to be of "Great Recovery"


(MENAFN) Jet lessor has intentions to purchase up to USD2 billion worth of aircraft, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise -DAE's executive assessment of 2022 to be the year of "The Great Recovery," powered by riled up air transport demands and a robust cargo market.

As it seeks development in 2022, the corporation, which is located in Dubai, would make an investment worth USD1.5 billion U up to USD2 billion in a new technology fuel-efficient aircraft through sale and leaseback arrangements and exchange markets, according to Firoz Tarapore of the National.

It is going to also sell airplanes to keep its fleet metrics in check, with amounts varying according to market factors.

Mr. Tarapore stated in an interview at the corporation's head offices located in Dubai that "there is massive pent-up travel demand and that demand is going to manifest itself in 2022 in a in a fairly noticeable way," further adding that "the biggest dependent variable here is how quickly government policies will allow people to get on a plane without going through insane hoops or feeling like they would be impoverished if they have to quarantine in another country."
