Iran’s trade with Russia for 2021 surpasses USD4B


(MENAFN) According to data announced by Russia's customs, the trade exchanges’ worth between Iran and Russia in 2021 reached USD4 billion to record a significant 81.7 percent increase in comparison to the past year.

Mehr News Agency reported based on the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), exchange revenue between Iran and Russia hit USD4.035 billion last year.

During the stated time span, Russia’s exports worth to Iran stood at USD3.068 billion, registering a 2.2 percent increase while the nation’s imports from the Islamic Republic amounted at USD967.3 million, posting a 21.4 percent increase.

Based on that, Iran’s stake of the Russian Federation’s overall trade revenue jumped from 0.4 percent in 2020 to 0.5 percent in 2021.
