Russia, China enlarge locations eligible to export wheat
(MENAFN) Russia and China have both committed to raise the amount of locations that are authorized to export grain to China, according to Rosselkhoznadzor, Russia's veterinary and phytosanitary monitoring agency.
Rosselkhoznadzor reported that, “on February 4, as part of the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China and the negotiations between the head of state and Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, bilateral agreements were adopted that expand the list and volume of grain supplied from Russia to China.”
Numerous other previous contracts have been modified, broadening both the list of locations that are eligible to export as well as the range of items available. All Russian districts can now export wheat, barley, and alfalfa to China, moreover, officials are looking into the potential of exporting peas.
