LONDON — CT Group, the international research, intelligence, campaign and advisory consultancy led by controversial Australian political strategist Sir Lynton Crosby, has hired Tim Fallon as a director to grow and develop the firm's presence in the Middle East.

Until recently, Fallon was a senior communications adviser to a member of the UAE royal family, and was previously regional director of government and international affairs for Ogilvy across the MENA region from 2017 to 2019.

Before that, he was managing partner of corporate affairs at Instinctif Partners for more than three years, and head of corporate, public and international affairs at Hill + Knowlton Strategies for nearly nine years.

In his new role, Fallon will work closely with Sam Lyon, managing director of the group's UK-based opinion research and campaign consultancy CT Partners, and the wider CT Group senior leadership team. He will support a number of international clients, with a focus on growing and developing the Middle East operation.

CT Group has worked for sovereign and commercial clients in the region for many years – although it does not disclose the identity of its clients – and opened an office in Dubai in 2021.

Lyon said:“I am delighted Tim is joining us. Tim's extensive experience and track record in the Middle East and beyond expands CT's presence, strength and expertise in this important region. His appointment is a clear recognition of the importance and the growing potential of the region for CT while also ensuring CT are best-placed to partner with and support clients in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment.'

Fallon added:“I'm delighted to be joining Sam and the rest of the senior team at CT. Their unique proposition of market leading diagnostic research alongside proven communications and campaign methodology is extremely exciting, as is their track record for delivering results for high profile clients across the world. The Middle East is also a major developing market, with significant opportunity for growth and development for a consultancy like CT.”
