Turkey, Maldives start mutual financial committee


(MENAFN) According to Turkish foreign minister, Turkey and the Maldives confirmed to start a shared financial group.

Mevlut Cavusoglu during his visit to the archipelagic country, planned a mutual press session with Maldivian foreign minister Abdulla Shahid in the capital Male, and said that this group would aid in boosting both nations financial collaboration and develop their two-sided trade volume.

Cavusoglu stressed that both nations two-sided trade volume increased in 2021, and declared that one of the contracts inked in Maldives was on trade and financial collaboration.

Turkey, Maldives want to develop their trade volume to USD100 million during the next two years, adding that interest in the Maldives is increasing among Turkish business circles and savers.
