Amman, Jan. 26 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh Wednesday met with the CEO of Saudi Arabia's flagship project 'NEOM', Nadhmi Al-Nasr, and said the mega venture, which will also extend to Jordanian and Egyptian lands, will benefit the economies of Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister also said the project will pave the way for joint investments that will help address climate change and water scarcity, in addition to laying the groundwork for efficient use of energy resources and launch of added-value industries.
For his part, the CEO of 'NEOM' said that the company is interested in 'serious and real cooperation' with Jordan to launch feasible projects in many vital sectors.
Talks during the meeting focused on the prospects for launching projects and partnerships that will benefit both sides in vital and strategic sectors, especially the desalination of Red Sea water.
The two sides agreed that potential mutual partnerships would be further explored by Jordanian officials and NEOM executives.
