Turkey to ink deal with Greece to boost economic ties


(MENAFN) According to the Turkish trade ministry statement issued on Tuesday, the agreement was inked between Turkey and Greece to boost mutual trade ties, and collaboration in various sectors.

The fifth gathering of the Turkish-Greek Joint Economic Committee (JEC) happened in the Greek capital and the fifth Term Protocol of the JEC was inked at the end of the gathering.

Both sides talked about concerns of shared interests, involving methods to enhance mutual trade capacity, promote firms to establish joint ventures in Greece and Turkey, improve collaboration in energy as well as transportation fields.

The ministry added, "the 5th JEC meeting will play an important role in maintaining the positive momentum in trade and economic relations with Greece and increasing cooperation opportunities."
