Turkey gets over 191K applications for trademark throughout last year
(MENAFN) Based on Turkish official figures published on Friday, the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TurkPatent) got 191,779 trademark applications last year.
Based on the TurkPatent data, in total, over 176,493 of them were local trademark applications.
The figure of trademark applications soared 12.4 percent on a yearly basis during last year. The office also got 17,566 patent applications the previous year, dropping by 6.1 percent on an annual basis.
Based on the shared data, a number of 4,490 utility models and 40,225 design applications were made between the opening and closing month of the year. A sum of 98.4 percent of utility models and 88.3 percent of the design applications were local.
