São Paulo – From January 24 to 27, Dubai will host Arab Health 2022 , the most significant event in the healthcare and medical sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and the second largest in the world.

This edition will feature 3,590 exhibitors from 62 countries at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Among them are the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Turkey, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Russia, China, Japan, India, United States, and Brazil, which will feature 21 companies at the show.

Countries and companies will showcase the latest technology and innovation to address healthcare solutions. The sector has shown resilience during the pandemic and is the driving force for the global upturn. 56,000 health professionals are expected to visit the event.

The Projects and International Marketing manager of the Brazilian Medical Devices Manufacturers Association ( ABIMO ), Larissa Gomes, said in an interview with ANBA, in 2020, there were 27 participating Brazilian companies; in 2021, with the peak of the pandemic, there were only ten, and now, in 2022, the show has resumed and will feature 21, mainly in the equipment sectors (neurology, neonatal, monitors, ventilators, etc.), orthopedics and consumables ( needles, syringes, bandages, alcohol gel, protective covers, swabs, and other products).

Among them are brands such as Atrasorb, Biomecanica, Deltronix, Faga, GM Reis, Ibramed, Leistung Equipamentos, Lupetec, Medicone, Olidef, OrtoBio, Samtronic, and Traumec.

“Arab Health is the second-largest medical devices show globally and the most important in the Middle East. The event provides an excellent platform for brands to interact with their main customers worldwide, being strategic for internationalization. We also need to praise the excellent cost-benefit ratio of the Brazilian national products, especially for exports to the show's region, markets with a lack of local production and high purchasing power,” said Gomes.

The theme of this edition of Arab Health is 'Advancing, united by business' and brings innovative technologies and innovation with a myriad of exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services.

Global companies such as Canon, Draeger, NAFFCO, Philips, and Neom will exhibit again this year. Other multinationals such as GE Healthcare, Karl Storz, and Siemens Healthineers will return after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arab Health is divided into eight sectors: medical equipment and devices; disposables and consumer goods; orthopedics and physical therapy; imaging and diagnosis; health care and general services; IT systems and solutions; health infrastructure and assets; and well-being and prevention.

A startup contest will feature 24 companies in different development stages presenting unique and innovative solutions in prevention, management, operations, diagnostics, among other areas.

The show will also feature medical conferences and practical workshops bringing together 200 speakers – world-renowned medical specialists – in the fields of gynecology, obstetrics, radiology, orthopedics, and surgery. Arab Health will also feature virtual educational sessions with experts.
