Ukraine - 50 new wells at gas fields commissioned last year

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In 2021, the Naftogaz Group commissioned 50 new wells at gas fields.

'In 2021, our specialists commissioned 50 new wells (in 2020 – 41 wells were commissioned), including: 11 wells with a production rate of more than 100,000 cubic meters of gas per day and three wells with a production rate of more than 250,000 cubic meters of gas per day,' Naftogaz posted on Facebook.

In late 2021, a high-rate well opened a new Mospanivske field in Kharkiv region. To date, it already produces more than 200,000 cubic meters of gas per day.

In addition, in December 2021, Ukrburgaz drilled a new well in Poltava region at the recently discovered Skydanivske field. The well has a considerable depth of 6,300 m and produces an additional 200,000 cubic meters of gas per day.

As reported, during the first half of 2021, gas production in Ukraine decreased and fell by 2% but managed to reverse the trend in the second half of the year and the production grew by 3.5%.

In December 2021, JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya began the second stage of attracting partners to increase gas production at 35 depleted fields in the РЕС (Product Enhancement Contracts) format.
