Russia considers oil and gas savings in Afghanistan, Taliban says

(MENAFN) After a conference with Russian investors in Kabul, the spokesman of the Taliban temporary administration stated that Russia is concerned about oil and gas savings in Afghanistan.

Zabiullah Mujahid said on Twitter “Mr. Mawlawi Sahib Abdul Salam Hanafi, the deputy prime minister (of the Taliban government), met with a joint delegation of Afghan and Russian investors in his office. In this meeting, the efforts, extraction and establishment of oil and gas refineries, and cement and alloy plants and the establishment of a cement production company were discussed in detail.”

He added that every attempt is going to be done to stand by Russian savings by presenting investor-friendly rules.

Many nations stated investment strategies for Afghanistan when the Taliban took power in Afghanistan on Aug. 15, 2021.
