China: Chongqing to have +70,000 5G base stations in process

(MENAFN) In accordance to the municipal financial and information commission, the figure of 5G base stations in operation in southwest Chinese Chongqing Municipality topped 70,000 by the end of last year.

During latest years, the municipality was supporting 5G and other new substructure building, and enabling the incorporation amid 5G and numerous businesses for example manufacturing and logistics.

It has started 20 protest plans including "5G plus industrial internet," that are functional in remote control, intelligent logistics and other scenarios.

By 2025, Chongqing will construct sums of 150,000 5G base stations, to support the considered application of 5G technology in the fields of industry, logistics and power.
