Sharjah announces USD9.37b budget for next year


(MENAFN) According to a Twitter post by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Sharjah's Leader Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi agreed to the emirate's Dh34.42 billion (USD9.37bn) budget for the upcoming year, making expenditure on substructure and social and economic expansion a priority.

Based on a government announcement on Tuesday, the budget for next year, 2 per cent higher than the previous year, is predicted to supply around 1,000 occupations for freshly graduated UAE individuals.

Around 44 per cent of the budget expenses is going to be designated to the growth and development of the emirate's substructure, 27 per cent to economic expansion with an emphasis on incentive processes and 21 per cent for social growth. About 8 per cent is going to be allocated to government administration.
