China witnesses decline in coronavirus infections
(MENAFN) In accordance to the National Health Commission, China witnessed a slight decline in the figure of locally transmitted cases, with 152 day-to-day infections, in contrast to the previous three days.
According to a declaration, Xi’an, the capital of northwestern Shaanxi area, recorded a rise in infections since previous weekend, with 151 cases, for consecutively four days.
It as well showed that 45 imported infections were recorded in 10 local-level areas.
Since Thursday, the city of 13 million was under strict lockdown since the experts started the fourth round of PCR-based mass nucleic testing to cut the transmission of the infection.
Health specialists expected that the transmission may finish by the middle of January.
