Deaths from Philippines typhoon jump to 389


(MENAFN) According to Philippines National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council statement, the number of fatalities from a strong storm in the country has jumped to 389 on Monday.

The typhoon, domestically named Odette and recognized as Rai globally, struck the archipelago country the previous week.

Based on daily Phil Star, the council stated that 64 individuals are still lost while 1,146 have been registered as wounded. It is allegedly the most powerful typhoon that has struck the country in 2021.

The typhoon caused catastrophe in many regions of the nation where in addition to deaths and wounded, roads were split up, power went off after poles were removed out as the typhoon-ravaged throughout towns.
