Pfizer states COVID-19 may become widespread by 2024

(MENAFN) US Pharmaceutical company Pfizer officials announced that coronavirus will likely become a widespread virus by 2024.

According to Worldwide Leader of Pfizer Inoculations Nanette Cocero in the firm’s Analyst and Investor Call "We believe coronavirus will transition to an endemic state, potentially by 2024."

Cocero also added that it might come to the widespread stage after the world would have sufficient resistance from inoculations, or hospitalizations and victims are being manipulated.

The time is going to rely on the development of the virus, and the efficiency of the inoculations, in line with Pfizer Boss Scientific Officer Mikael Dolsten.

Dolsten added "It seems like over the next year or two, some regions will transition to an endemic model while other regions will continue in pandemic mode," noting "The emergence of new variants could also impact how the pandemic continues to play out."
