Iranian, Turkish officials meet to talk about enlarging mutual water resources

(MENAFN) According to Tasnim news agency on Thursday, Deputy Energy Minister for Water Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javanbakht has met with Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Akif Ozkaldi in Ankara to talk about matters linked to shared water resources and that involves Aras River.

As stated, Javanbakht led a deputation of five individuals to Turkey this week, to encounter Turkish chiefs and talk about joint concerns.

Throughout the gethering, the officials highlighted the friendliness and long-standing relation between the government and the citizens of both nations and went through water problems in Iranian regions at the boundary with Turkey.

During this assembly, Javanbakht urged the Turkish side to concentrate on mutual water resources and esteem Iran's water privileges in the Aras River.
