Turkey, Turkmenistan plan to attain trade aim of USD5B


(MENAFN) On the words of the Turkish leader in the Turkmen capital Ashgabat, Turkey and Turkmenistan decided to achieve their two-sided business rate of USD5 billion.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated during a media session with Gurbanguly president Berdimuhamedow "We are determined to take the necessary steps to increase our trade volume to USD5 billion, as planned.”

The official visit was weeks after Turkey presented Berdimuhamedow as a spectator at an Organization of Turkic States summit in Istanbul, which is the first time a Turkmen leader joined a conference of the body, previously recognized as the Turkic Council.

The Turkish leader added "As part of our brotherly relations, we will continue to support Turkmenistan and its strategy of neutrality, which it pursues successfully," and noted that both presidents talked over all parts of links amid Turkey, Turkmenistan "based on brotherhood."

Erdogan as well declared "We exchanged views on what we can do to improve our cooperation in the field of energy, as well as land and air transport."
