Qatar - QU leaders visit free zones to discuss co-operation in R&D, innovation
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) received a delegation from Qatar University (QU) led by its president, HE Dr Hassan al-Derham, along with vice-presidents, deans and other members of the university.
The delegation was received by HE the Minister of State and QFZA chairman Ahmad al-Sayed, in the presence of several leaders from QFZA. QFZA and the delegation discussed ways to strengthen co-operation, specifically in the fields of R&D and innovation.
The visit included presentations from QFZA and companies based in the free zones, including Google Cloud, Thales and Gaussin, among others to showcase their experiences. The visit also included an introductory tour of Ras Bufontas Free Zone and the Business & Innovation Park, as well as visits to some companies in the free zones to showcase the advanced infrastructure and services offered to investors in Qatar Free Zones.
