Qatar Meteorology Department warns of poor visibility, strong wind

In a statement on Twitter, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) stated that a relative decrease in temperature is likely to occur from tomorrow night and during the weekend, due to the northwesterly wind.

During this period, the maximum temperature during the day is expected to range between 26 to 31 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature at night will range between 14 to 23 degrees Celsius in various regions of the country.

Wind inshore will be variable at first, becomes northwesterly 08 to 18 knot reaches 20 knot at places by afternoon.

On Twitter, QMD also shared a number of instructions to ensure safety during this period. 

- Use fog lights and low beams
- Don't use emergency lights and high beams
- Stick to the lane you are driving in
- Avoid overtaking and changing lanes
- Be alert and listen for any hazards that may be ahead
- Use your defroster and wipers to maximize your vision
- Slow down your vehicle and drive at a speed that suits the conditions
- Allow more distance between vehicles
