(MENAFN- Hattlan Media) As part of its 18th edition programme
In its 18th edition, under the slogan “The Future Starts Now”, Abu Dhabi Festival presents 10%, a play by Mohammed El Sawi at Manarat Al Saadiyat, October 29 and 30 at 7:30pm.
The play is part of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation’s UAE Theatre Circle, an annual initiative to cultivate the growth of theatre in the UAE. It is the third play produced in partnership with The Junction in this year’s UAE Theatre Circle, which also included a series of interactive panel discussions in Arabic in collaboration with playwright and theatre director Karim Rashid..
10% follows Darwish, the owner of a company that fulfills people’s dreams of becoming famous, rich, popular, or whatever they wish, at the cost of paying Darwish 10% of their wish.
Exploring a philosophical question about what is more important, desire and hope or pride and free will, the play is about the internal conflicts that define and guide us and sometimes drive us mad.
The play will be driven by a cast of elite of young actors, including Tareq Abu Zaid, Noha Moustafa, Ahmad Rajab, Eman Helmi, Medhat Moustafa and Mai Masoud.
