Bitcoin value reaches USD60K, first time in six months
(MENAFN) On Friday, Oct. 15 the value of Bitcoin reached USD60,000 for the first time in six months.
Official figures demonstrated that Bitcoin, the biggest cryptocurrency by market cap in the globe, surged to USD60,361 at 9.55 a.m. EDT (1355 GMT).
It was on April 18 the last time Bitcoin witnessed its worth at the USD60,000 level.
The most recent figures by digital asset price-tracking website CoinMarketCap showed that the overall value of the crypto market hit just above USD2.43 trillion with Bitcoin leading with a 46.4 percent share.
Cryptocurrencies lost over half of their values between April and July in a key market selloff.
