(MENAFN) IRNA quoted Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi Amin as saying that the country’s home appliance exports are planned to become twice as much as the rate of imports by the Iranian year.
“Statistics show that the export of home appliances is much less than the imports in this sector,” Fatemi Amin further declared during an assembly with the representatives of the country’s home appliance manufacturers.
Amin also stated that "This trend should change so that the exports to imports ratio would double by 1404," highlighting that regardless of the development of production in the home appliance industry, the proportion of exports to imports is not strong.
The official added that “Plans should be made so that next year we will see a 50 percent growth in exports over imports,” saying that a suitable trade balance in the home appliances industry is the next aim in this sector for the Iranian year.
