UAE number 1 county to declare net zero system


(MENAFN) On Thursday, Oct. 7 the UAE declared the UAE Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative, a countrywide interest to reach net-zero emissions by 2050, by this the Emirates will be the number 1 country to achieve this in the Middle East and North Africa region, mentioned WAM.

The project, released during Expo 2020 Dubai, seeks to reinforce changing economic development with good environmental effects.

Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the Emirates will invest more than USD163 billion in sustainable energy being part of the obligation.

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) will direct and cooperate labors to perform the project and guarantee cooperation at nationwide level to satisfy this goal.
